Wedding Season Marketing

It's Wedding Season - Turn Brides into Clients!
As the weather slowly gets better, you can be sure that weddings will start filling up your weekends. You may even be planning one yourself. Wedding Season is a great marketing opportunity for SkinBase treatments, as brides (and grooms!) try to achieve the perfect wedding glow. When prepping for a day with all eyes on them, brides will be trying extra hard to find a treatment that boosts their confidence. Read on for our top tips on how to provide this up until the big day.

Commit to Courses
Planning a wedding is stressful, time-consuming, and hard work. Booking brides in for a course of treatments instead of a single session is the best option for everyone. SkinBase treatments have progressive results as the weeks go on; therefore, a course will allow the client to achieve their skincare goals. Explain to brides the benefits of adding a course of treatment to their skincare routine leading up to the wedding. It will enable them to relax during stressful planning and help them achieve a bridal glow on the day.

Emphasise how a skincare routine links to other wedding preparation activities to encourage committing to a treatment. E.g. "Planning a weight loss regime? Feel extra confident with a course of Collagen Lift alongside it!' and "Invested in the perfect makeup artist for the big day? Get your canvas ready to glow with a course of Microdermabrasion Facials."

Before and After Transformations
The SkinBase Transformation of the Year 2022 competition was a great success last year, and the 2024 competition is in full swing. If you are not using these to showcase the fantastic results that clients can achieve pre-wedding, you are missing out. Showing clients real life results and testimonials is the best way to make them realise how essential skincare is as a part of the wedding planning process. Those about to be married can treat a range of concerns that may affect their wedding day glow, and they can do it while they relax!

Marketing Content
When targeting your content, it is important to remember that while brides are perfect clients during wedding season, you can also target grooms, bridesmaids, mothers, wedding guests etc. Whoever they are, they will want to look their best during the special occasion. A Microdermabrasion course is an ideal treatment for a pre-wedding transformation. Remind the bridal party that MD manicures and pedicures are also a great way to spend quality time together before the wedding. For any husband-to-be, a Microdermabrasion facial is a brilliant pre-wedding treat to deal with ingrown hairs.

    Spread the Word
Wedding season is an excellent time to target potential clients due to the variety of places they are sure to be. Wedding shows and fairs are increasingly popular and full of essentials for the big day. The attendees will also be ready and willing to spend money and book services for the wedding - don't miss out on this opportunity. What is more essential than pre-wedding skincare? Book a table at one of these events, showcase your skills, and let brides know what they're missing. Local wedding planners and wedding dress shops in your area are also great places to target brides and advertise your services. Social Media Marketing
Social Media is a great place to advertise to those planning weddings, as long as you make sure your efforts are focused on the right people.

    Target Your Marketing
When advertising on social media, you can segment users in many ways. A good place to start with detailed marketing is the location. Ensure you're targeting an appropriate radius around you to get the best results from an advertising campaign. How far depends on your specific location, so make an informed decision. Once you have the area, further divide by age and gender. To increase your chances of success with your advertising, you may wish to focus solely on brides.

The UK Wedding Report 2023 shows the average marrying ages have gradually risen over the past three years, with the typical age of a newly-wed aged 30-35. You may wish to go a little wider than this to accommodate more brides and target those aged 22-39. To complete the detailed targeting, specifically when using Facebook, you can divide by relationship status. Therefore, you can advertise to all the people who have updated their status to 'engaged'. Statistics show (for 56% of couples) this happens within the first two days of the engagement.
