Promotional Day Marketing Ideas
When introducing new, fabulous treatment to clients at a discounted price, they can often shy away from paying full price in the future. Don’t discount what you are worth, and don’t put the idea of a “cheap” treatment in your client's head. The promo day is a great way to start the new year with a bang, and get course bookings - which is also the best way to achieve skin goals. You could promote the ‘one day only’ event a number of ways:
January Renewal
January is all about new beginnings and healthy living. Client’s will have a list new year resolutions and goals that they want to achieve, and many of them may be skincare related. Get clients to see their skin as an investment, and understand that your promotional day is day one in that investment. Coming along and checking out the treatment is great way for them to get started with their skincare goals in a fun environment with no pressure. They can benefit from a discounted course when investing - instead of getting a cheap deal and never returning.
Valentine’s Special
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, it is the perfect time for a mini treatment course to have glowing skin for Valentine’s and beyond. Regardless of your client’s Valentine’s plans, it is time for them to show their skin some love. Offer a discount when booking a mini course on the day, or give them a % off a treatment voucher if they book in again before Valentines etc.
Bring a Friend Day
If your loyal clients are already aware of your event, you can benefit from them, and get them to find new clients for you. Market your promotional day as a time to be together, have some relaxation, get pampered, etc. Offer a 2 for 1 deal on the day e.g. 50% off your treatment when bringing a friend, then use an add on for the course e.g. free homecare product each if they both book a course.
Treat your Skin Concerns Day
After the indulgence at Christmas, entering a new year confidently can be difficult. Get real with your clients about how you can help them with their skincare concerns and insecurities. Curate special packages, offer free in depth consultations, and a discounted first treatment if they book a course on the promotional day. For example, pedicure package, anti-ageing package, pigmentation package, unwanted hair package etc.
Top Tips
Remember - clients do not need to know that it is a free day for you! When booking them in for the day, take a deposit in case they don’t show up and have a backup list ready to go - with everybody patch tested in advance. Have lots of aftercare leaflets ready to send home with clients, and ensure you are emphasising aftercare on the day too.
Versatile Treatments
Whichever SkinBase treatment you offer, don’t forget how versatile it can be. As fabulous as the SkinBase facials are, the Collagen Lift and Microdermabrasion machines can do so much more. Don’t forget to emphasise any fabulous deals they can benefit from, and highlight that it is one day only, with limited spaces. Having a countdown to the day on social media will create urgency in your clients and get them booking in - as nobody will want to miss out. Creating content on the day is a great way to boost your social media engagement and reach for the future too. Take before and after images, step by step treatment videos, and even spoken client testimonials!
Before and Afters
As the promotional day is happening to launch the SkinBase Transformation of the Year 2024 competition, a great way to advertise is by using before and after images from the 2022 and 2023 competition. The images are here in the knowledge base, in the therapist Facebook group albums, and across social media. Showing real life results is an excellent way to pull clients in and show them how effective the machines are.
Don’t Forget - Follow Up!
After the promotional day, with lots of potential new clients having tried the treatments, don’t forget to check in with them! See how they are feeling and ask how their skin is doing. Emphasise once again the aftercare that clients should be following to ensure their skin is the best it can be. If they haven’t booked in yet, tell them what you would recommend for future care - acknowledge their skin concerns, tell them how many treatments you would recommend etc. Show that you care and set yourself apart from the competition, and they will come back.
